Lavender Scallops (Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi) is easy to grow, needing only infrequent watering (not more than once a week), well-draining porous soil, and bright sunlight. Perfect for the windowsill but also makes an ideal groundcover in the garden. Note that Kalanchoes are listed as potentially toxic to humans and pets if ingested. It grows up to 1m tall as an low, rounded herb. The stems are round, smooth and lax with visible leaf scars, often bending and touching the ground where they produce roots and new plants.
