Founded in 2024 by Michelle and De Wet in Glenwood, Queensland, Wildhorse Homestead is a chemical-free sanctuary born from the founders’ personal journeys through burnout and disconnection.
Combining De Wet’s extensive background in elite sports, military aviation, and holistic recovery with their shared commitment to long-term health, the pair transformed their lives to focus on restoration.
Situated at the foothills of Mount Bauple, the homestead bridges the gap between land and clinic, offering small-batch spices and apocathary remedies from the land, a plant nursery, and wellness studio designed to help others regulate their nervous systems.
A few eventful weeks at Wildhorse Homestead, from floods and hail in Glenwood to rural property care, water quality, sustainable gardening, neighbourly recipes and new beginnings at Rocky Creek Escape.
Weeks 37 and 38 have been a season of remembering, growing and beginning again — from a first Father’s Day without Dad and the kindness of our Glenwood community, to nine Maremma puppies discovering farm life, our first incubating chicken eggs, tiny peaches, golden turmeric and peaceful days beside Rocky Creek.
Spring has arrived at Wildhorse Homestead with blooming gardens, Maremma puppies, a South African braai, fresh turmeric and delicious Lemon Myrtle shrub recipes.
A rainy Sunday, mesmerised puppies, spring gardens, heirloom tomatoes and a homestead built around giving everything another purpose. Join us for Week 34 at Wildhorse Homestead.
Follow Week 33 at Wildhorse Homestead as our Maremma puppies grow, the homestead projects evolve, and we battle possums for our peach harvest.
Week 32 brought sleepless nights with Luni, the puppies’ first adventures with solid food, unexpected peach blossoms, a surprisingly delicious carrot hotdog recipe, and our latest natural fabric paint experiment. Join us behind the scenes for another week of life at Wildhorse Homestead.
I can very highly recommend Wildhorse Homestead, very welcoming lovely people and helped me so much more than I could have expected. Physically and mentally. As well as the natural products to go with it and the knowledge behind them.
I had a great experience, learnt a lot of things about my body, have learnt some stretches to help ease my muscle tightness in between visits as well. Very friendly and professional, highly recommend and will be returning.
I received my packet of Lemon Myrtle Tea and love it! It is so refreshing and aromatic to sip on in the morning. Definitely recommend this tea from Wildhorse Homestead to anyone who enjoys a good cup of herbal lemon tea
De Wet was knowledgeable and helpful sharing specific stretches to help alleviate tight hip areas. Massage was relaxing and therapeutic, just what I needed! I'll definitely be returning for another
Website is easy to navigate with high quality products to choose from. I enjoyed having the bundles to choose from.
Hired a trailer from Wildhorse Homestead. The whole process was super easy. Online payment was straightforward, and had the trailer hooked up to the car two minutes later. The equipment was reliable and in good condition, and the people were friendly and helpful.
