Wildhorse Homestead Week 35 & 36 Journal | Spring, Sprinklers & South African Flavours
Spring has arrived at Wildhorse Homestead with blooming gardens, Maremma puppies, a South African braai, fresh turmeric and delicious Lemon Myrtle shrub recipes.
Farmstay accommodation, wellness treatments, farm-made pantry goods and practical equipment hire from our biodynamic homestead in the Bauple region.
Every journey has a beginning, and this is ours. Luni and Obi’s first litter marks the start of the Wildhorse Homestead breeding program—a program built on trust, thoughtful breeding and raising Maremmas with the opportunity to become the calm, capable guardians they were bred to be. Over the next twelve weeks we’ll be documenting every milestone, from their very first days through to the moment they leave for their forever homes, inviting you to follow their journey alongside us.

I had a relaxing stay at the rocky creek tiny home! It was very peaceful, quiet and private. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked a treat on the cold nights. The tiny has everything you need for comfortability and relaxation. I enjoyed watching all the wildlife around, I saw kangaroos, possums and beautiful bird life. Michelle and De Wet were kind and accommodating hosts! I look forward to returning again some day. Thanks again! :)Posted on Airbnb![]()

Everything about the place was great. The problem was with Tiny Away or whoever was running the show. They emailed us most of what we needed to know, including a phone number for queries etc., which was a Singapore number that never got answered. We wanted to know the check-in details, but we couldn't even contact the property owner. Finally after three days (on the afternoon before check-in)trying we got an email with all the details, including the property owners phone number. Once we contacted Michelle everything went well. Well done Michelle, very happy with the stay. Lift your game Tiny Away, we'd have liked a bit more than twelve hours notice of some of the more important details.Posted on Airbnb![]()

Founded in 2024 by Michelle and De Wet in Glenwood, Queensland, Wildhorse Homestead is a chemical-free sanctuary born from the founders’ personal journeys through burnout and disconnection.
Combining De Wet’s extensive background in elite sports, military aviation, and holistic recovery with their shared commitment to long-term health, the pair transformed their lives to focus on restoration.
Situated at the foothills of Mount Bauple, the homestead bridges the gap between land and clinic, offering small-batch spices and apocathary remedies from the land, a plant nursery, and wellness studio designed to help others regulate their nervous systems.

I can very highly recommend Wildhorse Homestead, very welcoming lovely people and helped me so much more than I could have expected. Physically and mentally. As well as the natural products to go with it and the knowledge behind them.
I had a great experience, learnt a lot of things about my body, have learnt some stretches to help ease my muscle tightness in between visits as well. Very friendly and professional, highly recommend and will be returning.
I received my packet of Lemon Myrtle Tea and love it! It is so refreshing and aromatic to sip on in the morning. Definitely recommend this tea from Wildhorse Homestead to anyone who enjoys a good cup of herbal lemon tea
De Wet was knowledgeable and helpful sharing specific stretches to help alleviate tight hip areas. Massage was relaxing and therapeutic, just what I needed! I'll definitely be returning for another
Website is easy to navigate with high quality products to choose from. I enjoyed having the bundles to choose from.
Hired a trailer from Wildhorse Homestead. The whole process was super easy. Online payment was straightforward, and had the trailer hooked up to the car two minutes later. The equipment was reliable and in good condition, and the people were friendly and helpful.
