Dwarf Mondo Grass is a very low growing ornamental grass with glossy dark foliage. Excellent groundcover in full sun or part shade. Suited to rockeries and along the edges of paths as it is very hardy – or as a lawn alternative for light traffic areas. Suitable for pots; under trees, windowboxes.

Plant in well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. This is a very hardy and rewarding plant that requires little maintenance.

Dwarf Mondo Grass is a species of Ophiopogon native to Japan and loved in Australia due to its Drought Resistance. It is a hardy plant with shiny dark green leaves that will tolerate very dry conditions, thrives in most soil types and is frost tolerant. You can grow Dwarf Mondo in both Full Sun or Full Shade. Mondo Grass is normally grown as an ornamental grass and makes an excellent ground cover. This plant will flourish in very sunny locations or in full shade; tolerate poor soils, over watering or over fertilizing. It multiplies rapidly to form a dense, dark green border. It also looks fabulous planted en-masse in your garden. Dwarf Mondo is ideal for planting between Pavers.
